  2. both of them love to hanging below the LR, they will only move around during the feeding time .. hehe but both of them dont live well together ler ... always fight de wor :\
  3. my electrical blue leg attacked my snail :\ but so far, it's doin fine with my clown fish and bicolor blenny .. and 2 cleaner shrimps as well..
  4. i saw this kinda batfish in 2 of the JB LFS .. a beauty . . but the price also ... keke
  5. i have 2 cleaner shrimps ... purpose is just to hope they can spawn and provide some zooplankton to my tank
  6. wakaka no la .. just hope can get different comments/opinions as much as possible ma, so can compare compare .. different forum got different ppl ma .. but seems like u r following me everywhere ..
  7. ahh forgot to tell .. i'm on very tight budget.. so i dont think chiller suit me
  8. Hi guys, currently i'm having a 2ft x 1ft x 1ft 10 gal FOWLR tank ... and i just upgraded the lighting (1 x 20W daylight and 1 x 20W coral blue moon) . The heat dissipated by the light is pretty hot .. i'm wondering if the fish and invertebrate can take it ? temp is about 31-32 celcius degree. LS i'm having now is : ocellaris , bicolor blenny, electrical blue leg, cleaner shrimp and some caulerpa (red-sea grape and normal sea grape) ... and i'm planning to get some mushrooms ... i'm thinking of cooling the tank by using an AC fan to blow on it .. but... 1) Will it cause major salinity swing during the evaporation ? As we know, quite an amount of water can be evaporate during the fanning period. 2) I'm thinking of turning on the fan during the photoperiod ( 8 am - 8pm) and will turn off at nite .. just wan to reduce the evaporation rate. Is it advisable ? 3) If toping up fresh water is needed, what's the correct procedure ? ie. get a bucket of water, pour in antichlorine and pour into the tank directly ? or ? leave it over night.. ???
  9. remove the tang immediately from the display tank ! u can use garlic extract to treat them (ie. soak the food with garlic extract) What cause ich ? most probably u r over-stocking ! how big is your tank now ? and it can be caused by bad water parameters / stress ... etc .. visit http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showforum=21 and u can find tons of ich treatment threads there
  10. be specific ? how u define cheap mushrooms ? how does it look like ? hehe .. thanks
  11. Tank size : standard 2 ft x 1ft x 1ft (about 10 gal) Air-drive skimmer + 1 mini powerhead Current Livestock : 1 x ocellaris , 1 x bicolor blenny , 1 x eletrical blue leg , 1 x turbo , 1 x gonipora, some sea-grape , Red Grape on kelp , and caulerpa Current lightings : 1 x 15W coral blue , 1 x 15W daylight . Ammonia = 0 , No2 = 0.1 , No3 = unknown at the moment ... ph=8, temp 28-29 Is there any hardy mushies or corals that i can fit into my tank ? If not, what'd be the minimum upgrade i should make before stocking one ? thanks
  12. i thought this thread is meant to help Jasyln to re-setup his/her tank ? when it bcome a crab thread ? keke ...
  13. haha yalo, that LFS really ridiculous ... last time i just "plan" to add 2 fish at one time ... "plan" only ar.. oledi kena shoot by the bros & sis here. .keke .. now i just wait patiently to stock new fish ... even tho sometime went to LFS hands very itchy .. hehe
  14. keeping one mandarine is considered hard.. moreover 2 :> mandarine is hard to be kept in nano tank... to be sucessfully keep one mandarine, u must have alot of LR + matured tank + at leasst 30 gal and above , if not , very soon they'll die of hunger ..
  15. I think the main reasons for your tank failure are ... 1) Way to less LR ... a 3ft tank should have at least 30-40 kg of cured LR to have a proper bio-filtration 2) Overstocked. As mentioned by other bros here . 3) Introduce ur fish slowly ... preferrably one fish at fortnightly (ie. once u added one new fish into the tank, wait for 2 weeks until everytime ,ammonia,no2,no3 all balance, then go for the next one ) anyway, keep up the spirit, dun be despair. we can help you to start all over again p/s: you should rich to me ler... buy so many fish at one shot i wan to buy also dun hv money .. hehe.
  16. what kinda vegi ? those normally we eat ? cabbage ? kangkong ? lecttuce .. etc ? my tank has alot of macroalgae (sea-grape & "green-moss-like-grass") .. but the hermit seems never go close to that green area anyway i'll feed them pieces of squid, prawns, vegi occassionally..
  17. ya i have some sea-grape (green) on the LR , as well as red sea-grape (which looks like a tree) .. and a bunch of "sea-moss" (caulerpa) ? they seem to be taking care well of the ammonia , no2 and no3 well in my tank so far ammonia and no2 is undetectable .. as for no3 .. no test kits.. but they seem doin well..
  18. i believe electrical blue leg hermit is safe ?
  19. any idea if it's good in taking ammonia ? cos as far as i know, most of the photosynthesis plants do take ammonia as the source of nutrients ... wel anyway it's good for tank yeah ? in reducing NO3 .. So no cutting/trimming on them ? if wan to clear some of them, better use chopsticks to pull some portion out ? is it ? hehe thanks
  20. what kinda problem as the hermit grows larger ?
  21. what is this ? sea grass ? beneficial to tanks ? thanks
  22. wow nice electrical u have !! how much you bought it ? mine was so small :\ and always hiding in the shell.. only can see the shell moving .. but cant see the legs !! any tips / cautions for keeping it ? i just bought it few days ago ! hehe i think i'll get more snails to keep the tank clean .. hehe wat bout sea cucumber ?
  23. Current Cleaner Team: 1) Bicolor blenny x 1 2) Conehead snail x 1 3) Electrical Blue Leg Hermit x 1 any comments on them ? especially their cleaning efficiency ? i'm planning to get more cleaner mates.. since the tank is still full of brown algae ... any recommendations ? get more snails ? get a sea cucumber ? thanks my tank is approximately 10gal .
  24. how much does a skunk/cleaner shrimp cost in SG ? normally ?
  25. Current livestock 1) False percula (ocellaris) x 1 2) Bicolor Blenny x 1 3) Turbo Snail x 1 4) Feather star x 1 10 gal , with a mini power head + air-driven skimmer ... 8 kg of LR ... can i introduce a coral banded shrimp into my tank ?? any advice ? thanks
