  1. *sigh* I'm guilty of the death of a Moorish Idol just a while ago...
  2. Let us not make sweeping statements about the entire gay community on the basis of discrete and rare events that disgust us. In my opinion, the sight of a straight couple kissing, smooching passionately etc is not particularly pleasant either. You cannot deny that there are gays among us, at the work place, among your friends, and possibly even within the family, but we may not detect their inclination, and this proves that not all gays are comfortable with unnatural behaviour in public. I am presently doing a music degree in the UK, and there are many gays around me, as is characteristic of the arts scene. I find most of them friendly and sincere, and certainly none of them have ever come across as crude or lewd. There is always a possibility that our children may not be straight, hence any outright, Unfair form of discrimination is uncalled for. Hope my views have not been damaging... =P
  3. The cleaner wrasse is an obligate parasite feeder. Very few actually get weaned onto frozen or prepared foods in captivity. Even so, they might die in a few months as the food we provide is simply too different from their natural diet. Those who manage to keep it for extended periods in captivity are lucky. These fish should be left in the ocean where their services are truly required, and the only way in which their collection will decrease is when aquarist demand for the fish goes down.
  4. Please DO NOT buy cleaner wrasses or cleaner shrimps thinking that they will control white spot. For one Cleaner wrasses will starve in captivity eventually and might most likely succomb to white spot itself. White spot stems from poor water quality. If nothing is done to improve the quality of the tank water, medication will simply be a waste of time and money. Will strongly suggest putting the coral up for temm lodging in someone elses tank while restarting, else white spot will be a permanent, annoying and expensive plague.
  5. 1. Hammer is NOT a soft coral. 2. If you use copper sulphate, all inverts will die. 3. Since its only in the cycling phase, ask your friend to start ALL OVER AGAIN, this time with more patience and knowledge.
  6. *sigh*... so rich... wish I could afford a Black Tang too... =(
  7. I fed my Yuma nearly daily with Mysis... he eats like a pig... really grew large from the feedings...

  9. PL is crap. Dont bother with it. Besides, T5 is not very much more expensive.
  10. Florida Rics are getting so common... just a while back it was impossible to obtain... have the prices fallen?
  11. Dont worry too much... they have a very bad habit of wedging themselves between rocks laterally for days. Give him a few days and never disturb him if you find him to dislodge him and he'll rally round.
  12. Dont bother with PL tubes. Use T5s instead. The difference is amazing...
  13. Its a Black Saddled Toby Puffer... if I'm not wrong
  14. Are there any toxic corals in the upstream of your leather coral? Eg. Sinularia Flexibilis or maybe even zoos?
  15. If you can ever get the Greater Long Nose, he'll be even more reef safe.
  16. Get the Desjardinii. I've one from CF for more than 1/2 year and so far its been doing great. They're healthy, happy, tough tangs. Most importantly, they're the most docile of the zebrasomas. Cheers~
  17. Wow! Where do you place the device? Any pics? I really should get one. My mom has been screaming at me everytime I call back cos she needs to help me top up water daily...

  19. Tell me if theres net caught, properly decompressed sunbursts! I've been looking for them for nearly a year since ML had them, but I'm in UK cant buy... must beg my mom to help me... haha~
  20. Forgot to mention that their softies, esp the shrooms, zoos and leathers are perfectly fine and CHEAP. There was once I was at s**l**e first, where I bought a rock of Green-striped shrooms for 14bucks... then I went to r****n where I found a rockful of Blue-striped shrooms for 5 bucks. Felt SO ripped off...
  21. So far I've had no problems with their Hawaii or Red Sea livestock. Thats probably because collection in those areas are probably more legitimate. I never buy their Bali/ Phillippines fishes... very dodgy...
  22. Bro... you should check out the price of that fish in Liveaquaria. Quite quite scary... Dont think it will ever be available to the S'porean market tho...
  23. NICE! Never knew that we could get such cool colours in S'pore!
