  1. Hi bros, It was stuck onto a trevally which i caught during my fishing trip. I feed it mysis shrimps and it has start eating. It attaches itself to the wall of the tank by the suckers on top of its head. .
  2. Bro Cornyfish, It's a close relative of the Remora which lacks the stripes..
  3. Hi bros, Is this 'cleaner' fish good for cleaning other fishes like the cleaner wrasse? Or will it harm other fishes by ###### off their slim coat? In the wild, it sticks on sharks, rays and other big fish, but in the tank .... ?
  4. Hi bros... Recently found a tiny shrimp about 1 inch long with tiny black spots on its body in my tank. It seems to be lingering around clam. Is this shrimp eating my clam?? 2 days ago, my bigger squamosa shrank and died later today. Prior to it's demise, i also discovered that bugger hanging around my clam's mantle. I was so afraid it would attack the byssyl (duno the spelling) gland of the clam. Should i remove this monster? Helppp me bros.. dun wan my 2 crocea to die!!
  5. Hi bro copperband, Just wondering what do you feed your scallop and how often? As u mentioned they need a lot of food and requires constant feeding, how do u go about doing this? Thanks for advise.
  6. Bro, The black tang is awesome! Do the LFS in S'pore sell black tangs? Is it common or only appears in the market once in a blue moon? I really love it....
  7. Yes indeed Ang Moh countries, their LS price is insane. I was in Western Australia for the past 5 years and often go to the LFS window shopping. The feeder goldfish is 8$ a piece. Then i told the ang moh guy, here in my country (Brunei) i feed those goldies to my arowana. He seemed astonished when he heard that. Because of the dependence on agriculture as a main export/income for countries such as Aust, N.Z, Canada, they do not take quarantine as a small thing, but a serious one. Yet sometimes paying 25$ for a coral makes me feel 'post-purchase behaviour', now i feel better. Prices of marine stuff here in Brunei is relatively higher than those in S'pore though some of us crosses the boarder to Malaysia to buy our stuff, taking advantage of their low currency. Some bro mentioned 80$ for a blood shrimp in NZ or Aust... tsk tsk... How lucky we are here in S.E.A where pumps, LS, acessories etc are dirt cheap!!
  8. Hi guys, I got one of these flamming scallops as well... When i first bought it, the shells are pearly white... But now it's kinda dark (Seems like oxidation process occured) Anyway, to see it's 'lightning' is so interesting. Visitors to my house seems to gawk at it all the time. lol. Also sometimes it applaudes those visitors by clapping it's shells together as if saying 'kam sia kam sia' ... How do u guys feed your scallops?
  9. Already did steps 1 to 3 religiously... Just wondering why now he's feeling unwell after moulting.. he doesnt grasp to the live rock and hang upside down like before.. Now merely wobbling around with the water flow... Any explanations?
  10. Hi bros, Just wondering... My cleaner shrimp just molted 2 days ago.. After molting, it seems unwell. His limbs seems to be wobbly and weak. Any one experience this before? Is it due to molting not properly?
  11. Hi bros! A teaser for u guys... 1 week old. Water Cycling by four greedy groupers and 2 Damsels. Some comments and feedbacks plz TQ.
  12. Hi bro... Can show some pics of your batfish ? I got one recently... orange in colour, very delicate and very juvenile..
  13. Try Mysis Shrimp bro. Or blood worm. Mine is 2 weeks old and just started to take blood worm and mysis. Hope this helps.
  14. Hi Bro.. If you are thinking of keeping Lions, perhaps aistone-driven skimmer may not be such a good idea as Lions are carnivorous and tends to degrade the water quality quickly. The same goes to Moray eels. Lions are most compatible with large predatory carnivorous such as Morays, Groupers etc. Anything that can be fit into their mouth would be prey. As for diet wise, most lion keepers would wean dead/frozen food as soon as possible. Lions main diet includes small LIVE fishes and shrimps. Although some aquarist feed live food (Goldfishes, but not recommended due to high fat content) to Lions, admiring it's predatory behaviour in nature may be interesting, yet cruel to some. Hope this helps for you. For further reference, www.liveaquaria.com.
  15. The YT is actually plump loh. But it's belly has a 'dent' like shape and i heard from LFS that such dent are some popped bladder or something which will render the YT to starve and become anorexic and not take any food. Is this actually true? The YT will shyly graze the live-rocks of algae but comes nothing close to eating foods i offered to his tank-mates. 12 days already in my tank. Furthermore, i cant easily get guarlic Guard or any enticing flavour here in my country.
  16. Hi guys, The live-stock in S'pore is really cheap compared to here in my country. Cant believe the YT are 25$ range and up. And PT 40$ ?! Over here, YT=$109 (4-5inches) , $68 (2-3inches) As for PT, $138 for 2-3 inches! From my knowledge the LFS boss said all live-stock from Spore. Maybe if i go Spore, can bring back 15 YTs to make a YT comn tank
  17. Hi BroMaxstar81! Weeks back, i caught 2 crabs at the beach as well. I wasnt so sure what species it was. Now that i see from your thread, it's the moon crab. lol. I kept 2 in my QT and one has died since. It's such a funny crab isnt it. It seems to have 2 sets of flippers (For swimming) 1 in the front and 1 at the back. Beach combing is indeed a fun thing to do. Never know what creature we encounter. Nice thread!! More picssssss.....
  18. Hi guys.. Been a while since i last posted. The yellow tang still doesnt wan to eat. Duno how to entice it to eat. (It's my 3rd YT. Previous 2 died. I'm real bad luck with YTs) The Unicorn is a big-eater (Eating it's own waste product too) Acquired the blue ring angel from a friend who owns a fish farm just yesterday when i was fishing at his floating platform. Their diet consist of: Frozen brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, blood worm, Nori and Formula 2 pellets. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Any comments anyone? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  20. An awesome multi-million dwelling! Top-notch modern-living bro! Really envy your GF's house + plasma + marine tank. Btw, is the tank 3 feet high? And is your GF's dad an architect? (I was fantasizing a 10 footer marine tank in that mansion!) lol
  21. I did try Nori Seaweed. The rest loves it. But Naso seems uninterested. Will try Live brine Shrimp tommorow. Thx akahoshi.
