  1. Haha, my wife thought it was very cruel too. Nice shrimps though. Read that some people cut their starfishe's arm and feed that to their harlequin, wait for the arm to regenerate and then cut it again. Poor starfish Oh btw, anyone looking for harlequin can find them at Aquamarine.
  2. Hrmz, many reefers avocate against leaning anything on the tank walls....reducing pressure on the walls, preventing the walls from getting scratched....but i dun see any problem in using your tank wall to give your LR better support....as long as it doesnt bear its full weight on the tank wall, i think its pretty safe....i only lean my LRs on the back panel though, so i can clean the other 3 sides easier.....try leave a gap, big enough to do some work.
  3. Hrmz, my bubble and frogspawn when fully expanded gets very close to each other...till now no problems yet. Fisheatme, ur octo got burned before? What were the symptons?
  4. Wow....cool...i like sun corals....but afraid that i wouldn't have the time or get lazy target feeding them....heard they need strong lighting too?
  5. Just bought a scrapper yesterday.....its those stainless steel ones....anyone has any experience of scrappers scratch tank walls? Is it safer to use those plastic ones? Or even expired Atm/Credit/membership cards?
  6. The Omega ones are more suitable for fishes 2" up.....maybe i'll try the Formula 1/2. Do carnivorous fishes eat Formula 2?
  7. I 2nd that...doubt fish traps really work....i took out everything about 5 times in my small tank i used to have....u'll get used to it..... Oh, if you like your current rockscape, try rem the positions of the LR before u remove them...keep us updated!
  8. If the itch is not too bad and the fish is still feeding happily, i guess maybe u can just leave it in ur tank and it'll recover by itself if your water parameters arent too bad... Itch is pretty common for blue tangs....
  9. Sorry to sidetrack abit, im using the Omega 1 pellet which contains garlic too....but its abit too big for small fishes....
  10. I think you can train it to take prepared food.....maybe you can try live brine shrimps 1st? I certainly eats corals though.....
  11. Lots of 1" or even smaller BLUE TANGS spotted at aquamarine...cute little fellas.....convict tangs, white face brown tang.....and some nice Frogfishes.....
  12. 2 FEET SHARKS spotted at Reborn.....they keep it in the coral section....think they are Black Tips.... Who would buy them? I think they need at least a 10 FT tank to be comfy?
  13. Oh, i bought my dunno what brand light at a fish farm. They claimed it was T5, more exp than those with normal tubes and that'll the tubes in my set is energy-saving. Have 2 Atanics(13W Ea) and a daylight(26W). I normally on the daylight and 1 tube of Atanic...is that enough for my mainly LPS tank? My LPS seems to be doing well.....
  14. Thanks....costed me $35 though...is that too exp? But i like it.....

  18. Erm, they are not endangered....its just that the brazil gov sometimes ban exporting of the fish, hence the rarity....and the higher price.
