  1. nope, im not..... anyway, im staying in the west and working in central area.. let me know where and when i can pass u...
  2. not really sure what size but ive got spare of the same size(not ehiem though) maybe u r interested i can spare u a length......
  3. hi bro! got pic of ur goods? interested w skimmer
  4. i use ehiem hose which tightly fits and secure... then on the the other end use a 20mm thread white pvc pipe... works fine....
  5. bro, i think u better concentrate first on cycling ur tank properly before u plan to buy ur livestocks.. buying is easy, but maintaining is the difficult part....
  6. apologies if u find too sarcastic.... dont want another bickering postings here... let's put to an end from here... sorry
  7. what's ur tank size? brain is not sps and it needs not too strong a light anyway. also, lights is just one of the factor to consider to keep sps corals; ur water quality, water movement also plays a big factor to gain success...
  8. is it reef safe? care to give more infos abt it? i saw it earlier in pasir ris farm, kinda unique and pretty li'l creature
  9. i saw 1 earlier in pasir ris farm.... is it reef safe?
  10. i dont know with our fellow reefers out here but seems to me that lfs u went to is a MLFS not an lfs.. MLFS = money laundering fish shop.... guess that shop should be blacklisted as bad lfs or shall somebody go down there to teach them proper setup so they can instruct newbies the right thing? btw, as far as i know, spanish dancer is a sea slug.... correct me if im wrong.... yellowbelly, my advice is stop buying livestocks at the moment, whatever u got ask a fellow reefer to adopt it first while u properly cycle ur tank.... reef hobby is for the patient and responsible who takes time to make sure water parameters are of optimum quality, learn about the livestocks even before they purchase it and keep on reading and researching for better ways to make his/her tank a good reef habitat.... if u cant keep ur itchy hands off from buying, try keeping lou han....
  11. how old is ur tank anyway? i had one before as well when my tank was abt 3 months old... began getting skinny as months past by and died out of starvation... think u need a mature tank to keep it
  12. hi spiderone! just wanna ask where u could avail of the spiderlight reflector locally?
  13. last time ive seen planetq was selling his 2 x 250w mh diy set, all brand new but u need mogul, bulb.... ask him.... im not using any actinics; just 1 x 10k bulb and a 20k bulb but would be getting another 20k after seeing the result of the yellowish spectrum of 10k agains 20k
  14. i'm using one but an older version.... u r one of the lucky few to get the new models in a cheaper price..... what's up?
  15. ive seen a weipro from a fellow reefer, lighting up his 4ft tank..... things i've observed, first is i can really feel the heat oozing out and secondly, the ballast was quite noisy... correct me if i'm wrong about my feedback about the weipro but those were things i have observed.... a piece of advice: y dont u just diy ur mh lighting? i think a well planned set up is better than saying, "i'd use this now and if i can afford i'd buy that next time.." coz in the long run u'd be spending more than necessary.. don t get offended, just my point of view bro.... not intending to ridicule ur idea.. anyway, i think there r a few fellow reefers who would be willing to help u diy ur lighting, some maybe even be selling parts cheaper..... also, i think u would need at least 2 x 150 mh for a 4ft tank.... i am using the same setup
  16. 4 x 54w = 216w against 1 x 150w = 150w ...guess u know which would be more economical.... i think ur use of type of light will fully depend on what types of corals u intend to keep.... maybe you could indicate ur livestocks cheers!
  17. yup... but make sure u tie it sturdily... i used those plastic straps, lots of them, to make sure that the eggcrates are firm and strong enough to carry the weight of your liverocks....
  18. terryansimon dont know how to show u but the encircled portion of my tank is structurally made of eggcrated then cover it with liverocks... in this way, water ciruclation is good within it and dead spots will be minimal.... and since it's hollow inside, i have to buy less liverocks
  19. its good.... it will make ur rockwork stable coz those burrowing creatures under ur sand tends to soften or destabilize ur sand supporting ur liverocks, and with the eggcrate supporting it, those creatures can burrow as much as they want and it wont affect the live rockwork... maybe u would want to consider putting up an elevated layer of eggrates as well then just cover it with liverocks. purpose is more water circulation even in the internal parts where liverock formations are, and saves u more money for buying more liverocks... so you would have a hollow core inside the rockworks for ur fish to play and hide!!! cheers!!!
  20. seems like algae infested.... aside from bubbling surface.... pardon me but may we know ur tank specs?
  21. thats the best though.... no need to chase after and go down to his/her level.... at least not worth the trust and respect..... other reefers beware!!!!!
