did you lay your rocks on the sand previously? cos if you did, the rocks will probably collapse. anyway, siphoning the sand is the best option but dun think you should return the water back into the tank as i suppose there are tons of unwanted stuff in the sand like PO4 and nitrate,,, take it as a change of water, prepare 40% will be good...

i don't think thats expensive for the size especially the thickness of 19mm, which is very rare. you can try singapore safety glass. i think they sell.

yo bro, how to use deioniser or RO for seawater? please check what they are prior to making such a remark/question, you are making the seller (dennis) blur la... and a TDS meter to check on his water? are you happy with a 0 reading on the TDS or 200? bro, please understand the use of a TDS first also la... your questions very complicated... anyway, seller is just interested in selling seawater, simple as that..

i'm not sure what that is but i am sure there can be no such wonder thingy that can solve so many issues for the reef... if not there will be no need for all the related equipment involved already.

i really see no point diluting the presently fine sg with fresh water, cos local frshwater has a low ph and will make the ph drop further, i would suggest buffer up the KH to 10-12 so that the PH will stabalise. if possible, check the magnesium level as it will help a little with PH, in a way. sg at 1.023 is fine, if not actually 1.025 is ok too.. my 2 cents.

please also ensure that you have the correct ml of tank water to test, shake the test kits blah blah blah.. i'm not saying anything about stupid or whatever, just maybe you might overlook the difference in ml of tank water or others...
