  1. interesting idea, chris.. anyway, those side holder thing are available at those infamous LH shops that are sprouting out like mushrooms near our neighbourhoods..... depending on what type u want.. the price ranges from 40cents to 80cents each.. and i recommend that u get 4 pieces to secure the acrylic.. coz i help my mom to setup her LH tank and 2 pieces is not enuff.. too filmsy.. not stable...
  2. those cyclindrical skimmers brands are as follows, Berlin, macro and ORCA... prices ranges from $25 (ORCA) to $800+ for Berlin
  3. better start saving money now.. hehehe.. everyday a dollar should be enuff.. if i start now..
  4. IMO, the reason why u can cycle the tank so fast is because of the following reasons; 1. it is an existing tank.. and u merely cleaning it and not nuke them like pouring bleach for a thorough cleaning .. both the media still contain some form of bacteria from the previous tank. 2. u seed the tank using the previous tank's stuff such as old tank water.. basically, it is more like relocating them and changing water lor... thus, u will not get the spike in ammonia as expected.. but this is not to be done for new tank with everything being virgin in that sense..
  5. my snowflake moray will pop his head out of the tank to receive food from my hand and swim on top of the overflow to look for food..
  6. sharks should be left to the ocean coz they usually have poor survival rates in captivity.... especially big sharks.. unless u have big tanks like those in wisma or underwater world.... since ppl like to keep sharks.. i really wonder when will be the time when i hear ppl keeping Great White shark at home..
  7. those are known as common clowns aka false perculas.... true perculas prices ranges from $12-20...
  8. mrjoe, i recommend going for at least 10mm if your tank is more than 2ft.. mine 4ft is using 12mm throughout..
  9. ok.. where did u get them from.. they are beautiful isn't it?? my fiancee says that they are like rockets.. always wanting to jump out of their world and enter our orbit..
  10. both pac marine and reefworld brings in true percula most of the times.. u might want to check it out there.... and yes, u can mix them together.. both true and false common clowns

  12. fred, when phang mentioned abt model recruiting, it is because u mentioned that u model in bed what.. hahaha..
  13. try using those manual hand pumps types.. cost only $2 or so.. works just as well.. when u say big lumps of dirt, u can either disturb it and let your filter or overflow do the job or u can remove it using the hand pump.
  14. all shit will pollute the tank.. shit= ammonia...
