  2. Hi selling 2 tubes of T5 54W (4ft) ATI artinic blue used for only about 2 months. $50 each. Get both $90 PM me. Thanks
  3. Hi Ian, have been wanting to contact you but forum was down. Great job! Erhm can I modify my 4ft tank's sump with the system running now? Actually I would like to build a complete sump system for a two feet seahorse tank I have. How do you charge?
  4. Guys this has been mentioned many many times before. If you are not happy with a LFS and say something here, pls state your real name and contact number to stand by what you say. Otherwise you can get AT into trouble with the LFS for allowing defamation in the forum. A previous issue raised by other posters, created alot of trouble....physical threats and lawsuits to AT and all involved. Pls read the conditions for posting. Powder Blue: I am sorry to hear about your case. However, I too had this same experience and I am sure many others too from fishes bought anywhere. I got my fishes somewhere else and they all ended up with ich. For your info, your tank fishes may not have ich but it does not mean its not there. It just means your fishes are immune to it already. However since you say you already have 6 yrs in this hobby you should know better. There is no fish shop in singapore which will guarantee your fish will survive once you buy it back home. With such a long yrs of experience, you should know better how to tell whether a fish is already sick in a shop. Unless you are saying they (PR) caught the fishes for you and deliberately chose sick ones for you. You are implying that we should all buy expensive fishes or justifying the prices of other LFS charging us exhorbitant prices as a reason for selling good healthy fishes. This from my own experience is totally untrue. Other reefers may wish to comment on this too. I recommend PR and ML because these are shops which do not try to con newbies. They don't try to tell you ###### and bull stories saying angels are clam safe, butterflies are reef safe and recommend all kinds of additives or something similar which you don't need. Health wise of stocks is really something that cannot be controlled when imported by any LFS. What can be controlled is the LFS providing a good environment and holding area for the stocks. Have you really seen the setup provided by PR for their stocks? Yes there are still deaths which is inevitable. But I believe they provide one of the best holding areas for their stocks. Cheers
  5. Guys I really do not understand why you want to make it so complicated. The rules are in simple english and its straightforward as what bum has said. Only sneaky people who try to bend the rules always get found out and exposed in controversy. Pasir Malam section will never be closed down because the benefits of having it far outweigh the disadvantages or misuse by a very small number of people. Its very easy to always cry mother cry father and get the moderators or AT himself to do something. But I strongly believe that we are more matured and responsible than this. If the majority of forumers behave maturedly and responsibly as adults in their posts, we can easily outvoice or prevent such issues from happening....ie dun reply and dun buy from such posts. And the simple thing to do would be to just pm the moderators to take action. Thats what they are here for.....to ease AT's load. AT is just a fellow hobbyist like all of us. He has his own job and family and own life. He created this forum for the benefit of all reefers to share knowledge and trade or exchange items etc. He alone has no time to keep dealing with such issues and that is why moderators come in. Lets try to stick to the rules which were already long stated and try to keep things simple. After all this is just a hobby and should be light and fun. Cheer up guys! Life is hard enough without all these little misadvantures. Lets just be happy and peaceful.
  6. Thanks for the fast response Fuel, but I'm only willing to pay $2per kg max. Scooter, there are many methods. I use superglue and netting.
  7. Yeah you read correctly. Looking for dead rock. About 10kg. No concrete slabs or funny things like that please. I'm really looking for un-live rocks. Best would be flat smooth small rocks. I need them to attach mushrooms. thanks
  8. Hehehe managed to trick you into saying it. Just kidding! Yup I really need some help with the landscaping. I have been watching too much flintstones when young. But you must admit my reefscape looks like one happy bedrock village. It would be an excellent playground for the warhammer or lord of the rings battle seige. I have been trying to get a friend over to help me with the building of a cliff. I want to cover up the overflow completely and build a overhanging cliff when I can putty a red chilli or sun coral below it and place low light corals there. Sigh so many things to do so little time. I will call you up for your helping hands end Oct!
  9. Bro just a suggestion, why not get this from me and Alvy? It will simplify your kalk additions ALOT! Check the thread below. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...?showtopic=2776
  10. I'm also looking for a nice red piece. But prices I've been quoted are ridiculous. $80 per half a palm sized piece.
  11. ALL my live rocks are big flat pieces. Except for the support rocks below them. In fact I am looking for another 20 to 30kg more of them. I feel the prices of liverocks have shot up to incredible amounts. However the cheapest Fiji LR I've found is from PR. Its about $12/kg there. But no flat pieces. The cheapest liverock (of good quality), I found at a new marine setup in Pasir Ris farm. $7/kg. But its also full of algae and not yet properly cured.
  12. actually sealife do bring in nice ones too occasionally. Sigh if only anemones could be fragged like mushrooms.
  13. Actually I really dun mind helping out in the next event provided I will be free by then. I can help to cook too. Ok lah ok lah. No need to do the Godfather thingie on me. I agree on your price. Pls sms me to arrange time and place. Cheers
  14. Really looks like great fun. Well done AT and Flubberina. I'm really sorry I could not come down. I missed all the fun! Sigh. Next one next one I promise.
  15. Bro thanks for the advises. My tank height is about 18 inches. Water height minus sand bed is about 14 inches. However its breadth is only 12 inches, and with live rocks it becomes only 5 inches of sand bed space. You don't use any skimmers? But how about the water quality? How often do you change water? thanks
  16. Sad to hear that bro but you really shouldn't mess around with vinegar unless you know the right amounts. Drastic ph changes will kill corals and fishes. And as bawater mentioned, its not necessary to dose kalk even in your 2ft tank unless you keep clams or sps or you want more coralline algae. And even then, it has to be really slow cos of the small volume of water. Well the good thing is its better this than your 4ft.
  17. Wah bro, finally you put your brain to very good use eh. hehehehe Its a damn good idea man!!! So bro pls help me look out for a red anemone too so I can verify your method. Cheers
  18. AH HAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA I still can't help laughing after bwilly called me to ask me what to do. Yes I requested full pictures please. Pic of the Month!!!!
  19. 4) 1 x green hynophora - $20. Bro pls reserve the above for me too.
  20. regular guy is right. But for a newbie I think the best is to go for a reliable and trustworthy LFS which doesn't give you shit or try to psycho you to buy something. There are two shops I recommend strongly. 1)Marine Life (boss is Henry) at hong leong gardens in West coast rd. 2)Paradiz Reef (boss is edwin/Liew/Anthony) at 1 balastier rd. These are two shops I trust will not con newbies and will give very good advice when asked nicely.
  21. Sigh no wonder. Its the radiums. Anything looks nice with the 800W radiums. Even a plastic spoon looks rare and good in the light of AT's tank. hahaha Thanks for the info bro.
  22. Spider: Haha very funny. But at least its a lot cheaper and moves much more. Dispar: Would appreciate it if you can share with me. I seriously have been searching for a long long time. As with regard to T9% I have sworn never to step into there again. Since the old man is so unhappy with his business and with customers, I do not want to stress him anymore. I got better places to spend my money.
  23. I really dun understand these fish names. This fish is blue. All I see is blue blue and more blue. Hell he even looks more blue than a blue tang. Why is it called a chocolate tang???? And I have never seen this fish for sale before anywhere. I can't even find it in www.liveaquaria.com AT can you provide more info such as aggressiveness, size, requirements? I really want to get one of this too. Its blue is amazing!
  24. Real thanks for sharing with us all this info. I am really inspired to start a seahorse tank now. When I started marine tank I have always wanted to keep seahorses. But due to the lack of knowledge in how to keep them I have stayed away. After seeing that red and orange seahorse I am determined to keep a pair too. I would really appreciate it if I could have your assistance in knowledge and setup. I now have a 2ft tank cycling. I wanted it to be a mushroom only tank but now I want to keep seahorses in it. I have 10kg of liverock and a 4inch DSB. Using 2x24W T5 lights and a modified OHF. I also have a remora skimmer but I am not using it yet. I have no knowledge of how to make the food to keep seahorses. Do let me know where I can buy the red and orange seahorses too. Many
