My Hydor K4 got sound and vibrate badly when starting. Some said it's a production batch flaw. Tunze got this problem? I never used tunze before. My K4 died on me after 8 month when I washed it with vinegar+water solution to cleanse off coralline algae. How did that happen? Wavemaker should not be clean with vinegar solution?

I saw this SunSun wavemaker is exactly same as hydor wavemaker. The price is cheaper compare to hydor but they draw a little bit more Wattage than hydor. I don't dare to try those, so i just bought hydor. Anyone try that before? Any review?

I've tested my tap water (tampines area) before using API test kits. Here is the data - pH=6.6~7.2, Ammonia=0, Nitrite=0, Nitrate=0~5, kH=2~3, gH=5, phosphate=0.25~0.5. Hope this help.

So sad to hear that. Don't buy tangs for the newly set up tank. They need mature big tank with a lot of algae.

But be careful of mosquito, ants and other venomous animals...!

Today reached PM (ah beng but he's not around). What did i see? too many and forgot already.. hee hee.. for fishes, yellow gobies, bi-color gobies, clowns, naso tangs, yellow tangs, sail-fin tangs, bamboo sharks (Eggs also), very small cleaner shrimps, etc... for coral, i'm a noobie and so i don't know how to ID them. But i bought 2 small pratas and 2 blue notes gone..

Omg... Be careful man... pH low is not good for long term but will not kill your fishes suddenly. A BIG change in pH will wipe out all the living things inside your tank. Try to change the water parameters slowly. I think it's you never change the water and all the buffering agents used up in your tank. Why don't you try changing 20%~30% of water using a good marine salt? And use Kalkwasser to top up the evaporation water.

crabs are also molting? Tomato is a big fish. I think it's not suitable to pair up in such a small tank.
