  10. I also experience this before. My hammer was stinging some other coral... I tried to separate the stinging head but also ended up breaking it. It really grab hold tight and will not let go... But still both the hammer and the other coral do fine... No significant damage. Best to separate the jewel and hammer... in case the stinging repeats itself.
  11. Are u referring to buttons coral? If so, can try to dose DT. My buttons have not been opening v well until i try dosing DT on a more regular basis. Now they are all opening up well, e colours also getting better. Just my suggestion...
  12. I also dun have much success with buttons. Can't retain their colouration too long. Will dosing iodide helps? They are esential for soft coral growth i believe.
  13. I used to own 2 firefish. They were doin okie in my tank until i realised they have not been appearing for a period of time liao. My guess is that the crabby are the culprits...argh. I like the firefishes, with their reddish body. Think i may be getting the purple firefish ... But if u have mani hairy crabs in the tank, they may well be the cuplrit also. Just a tot...
  14. I have them too... They grow on my algae magnet cleaner Guess they grow everywhere. But dun think they will grow v big, so small in size.
  15. Tat's an intersting way... maybe i can try out also. Also, my snad has becomne yellow over the time. MAybe can add a layer of clean sand to make it have the white sandy look again
  16. Well... i wun say it's too much fishes lei. COs they are all small fishes except for my 2 tang. Mine is a corner tank, 35 gallons. There are plenti of live rocks...so hiding place will not be a problem for the fishes. MAybe i will check out the anthias. Which lfs has anthias now? west side? And...is chromis = damsel?
  17. Hmmm...okie. I will love to try them, but will they be ok in my 35 gal tank? too little space? How X are these fishes? How X are the dispar anthias? $4*?? Then what fishes in my list shd i be goin 4? MAni thanks... M.E
  18. Hi guys, I have a few fishes in my tank, namely 1 yellow Tang, 1 Hippo blue tang, 2 common clown, 1 african clown, 1 goby, 1 banggai cardinal. Used to have 2 firegoby but haven seen them for mths liao. Think murdered by the hairy crabby in my tank. Need to get rid of them soon.. Argh...... I was thinking of the following fishes to add into my 35 gal mix reef tank(LPS and softies): Anthias---- Are these fishes meant for Larrge tank? And i believe dispar and bartlet are easier to feed and mor bold? DO u guys have any pix of them? They are X i believe... Chromis---- Are these damsel? if so, i wun want to add them...territorial right. Grammas---- Was thinking of royal gramma. But do they attack cleaner and fire shrimps? Dwarf wrasse---- Are they suitable candidates for reef tank? Which of these fishes are most X and which are the hardest to rear? Thks a lot guys......... M.E
