  1. Bro....your chiller evaporation rate higher than fan?
  2. Dear reefers, Any reviews on what are the good fish nutrition additives for angels and tangs? There are multiple products in the market. For example, for brightwell, there is already Vitamarin M, AminOmega and Angelixir. And some are rather costly. Any additives that fellow reefers swear by them to recommend for fowlr tank to keep fishes strong and in good colouration? Thanks.
  3. Definitely seems possible with that space but you need a bit of luck that those fishes can co-exist.
  4. Mine 3.5x1.5x2.5 fowlr on simlim computer fan 24/7 at top of DT. During sg rainy season like now 27.5 to 28.5 During sg apr-jul hot period, it will be 29 to 30. Evaporate about 3litres daily.
  5. Got mine from TFC. It is highly personable and will take food from hand readily. TFC should have 1 or 2 currently.
  6. Thanks. The colours are coming from the algae which i hope can turn into all purple coraline algae eventually.
  7. Shouldnt be a problem. Normally large angels will not bother much about dwarf angels unless they are of similar size. Plus dwarf angels can hide in the small caves. The only consideration is that the flame angel must be brave enough to swim out and compete during feeding time.
  8. Thanks for kind comments. I got my rocks scape from bro Naz at iwarna. Current stocklist: 3x yellow tang 1x flame angel 1x asfur angel 1x king angel 1x juvenile emperor angel All fishes are small with the king being largest at about 3inches. My goal is to add a final queen angel. If i were to redo, i will reduce the amount of rocks to have more swimming space. Just my few thoughts.
  9. Dose some bacteria to ensure the biological process starts faster? do underdose slowly cause i believe it drops oxygen levels during the kickstart process.
  10. Not at the moment bro. Am happy with the BB. Read at other overseas forums that there are reefers who find tiles with nice designs and silicon to the bottom of the tank as base and it gave a very natural feel. Might consider when upgrading the tank. Pre-set wave-maker timings had kept the bottom very clean but need to clean the algae off regularly.
  11. TFC: Yellow eye kole tang, Atlantic blue tang, AT, grey angels, orange shoulder tang, agogo sweetlips And various LPS
  12. Nice tank and rock scape bro. Can't wait to see your fishes.
  13. Fortunately Bro Naz was kind enough to come to the rescue and rescape the fallen pieces. Thanks Bro!! Have added a juvenile emperor in the holding area on the top left. Waiting for it to get real greedy for food before releasing with the rest of the greedy monsters.
  14. A freak accident happened during maintenance and cost some rocks to topple.
  15. So far all my yellow tangs have been hardy...and the point is that if even the yellow tang cannot survive the conditions... the more difficult fishes like angels, power series tangs will be much harder in the same conditions.
  16. Started with small yellow tang. Though could be aggressive but it can confirm if your tank parameters are ready.
  17. I have been using API test kits for ANN. So far so good. Salifert is another brand which is very easy to test.
  18. TFC has one 5 inch nice shape emperor angel. Worth taking a look if you looking for one. The rest are king french and grey angels, sm ATs, ABTs, two agogo sweetlips and some other small fishes.
  19. Cycled without lights and chiller as well
  20. I feel getting a good specimen from a good lfs is critical. The catchment method and quarantine of the fish initially will play a big part to the fish long term health. Fishes can slowly get used to temperature. However keeping them alive doesnt mean their growth and colour will be as good as those kept under more suitable temperature.
