  5. Wah Eric!! 2 x 7300L/Hr?! You sure? mine also abt 300L Think that might be too much flow For ryan, Rio is also a good buy. Reconmend 20HF Where to get this pump, does anyone know? i only know of eaqua Do consider an external pump to reduce heat added into your tank. Return pump is one of the most imp equipment. Get a good one

  8. For ryan Quietone4000 highhead is 120W!! not reconmended for that price I rather you go for a MD40 at 80W 3120L/hr 4m Or Ocean runner 3500 3500L/hr 3.3m 65W if you have the cash If want cheap...go for Dymax 5000 or Weipro WH6000
  9. Some websites recomend 6 x total volume of water(include sump) 200L x 6 = 1200L/hr I have test and found 10x waterflow to be better if your sump design can take it. 2000L/hr Next select the pump considering Vertical head loss & fittings loss For weipro3000 2300L/hr 2.0m, you will get only abt 1000L/hr I reconmend for abt 1.2m head loss, Long Lasting/Low heat : Aquabee3000 giving you 1600L/hr : Sicce Extrema giving you 1600L/hr Long lasting : Eheim 1260 giving you 1400L/hr Cheap: Dymax2500 giving you 1200L/hr Good value : Rio2100 giving you 1300L/hr Or if you insist on the high heat producing weipro go for a WH4000 giving 1250L/hr or even WH5000

  17. Is this skimmer sold? So i doesn't come with the aquabee la izzit?
  18. I think your calculation of height for pumping is wrong. I did mech eng during my poly days. The head loss is (Head loss from pipings) + (Vertical head loss, Water level you are pumping from to outlet) For vertical head loss always use water level from inlet to outlet. Ex. For Sump: Sump water level to tank water level is you vertical head For overhead: Tank water level to outlet in overhead filter. I was doing a little research abt pumps. SICCE Extrema 2500l/h 3M head 35Watts Eheim 1260 2280l/h 3.1M head 50Watts Sicce obviously looks better using less power and more flow. In terms of durability, i don't think it should be that bad as it is from Italy. Eheim on the other hand uses more power, therefore more heat. But Eheim is known to last. Hope my information comes in useful!
  19. Oh...I C.... sorry just trying to help with my 2 cents, also since nobody reply you.. hehee...i will check out the ratings on the actual pumps to confirm...just saw Rio pumps at Reborn yesterday... Don't angry ah!
