Hi Bro,

I am exploring the idea of getting a chiller for my 4ft tank (about 330L) because the current temperature is as high as 30.8C :(

I have a couple of questions that need advice:

1) What would be a good chiller brand and model? Criteria: 330L and silent - heard Resun can be quite noisy :(

2) Any good LFS to purchase chiller? I am hoping to find a LFS which also providing service to setup the chiller and piping because I am extremely clumsy about piping :(

Bro,

Just my 2 cents worth....

- I started off with a used chiller....1/2 hp Resun...

- it depends on how you setup the chiller,..if you put inside the cabinet not too noisy. Every 2 hours activate for 40mins...

Hi, if the concern is about the noise then like what Spkentchai suggest, putting the chiller in some enclosure will reduce the noise level, but do take care of having sufficient space and clearing at the outlet of the chiller for the heat to disperse

Amount of noise is subjective also, in a silent environment, a noise at a low db will also be heard.

So far, Arctica has serve me well.
