xaine
Tangs and blennies are supposed to be herbivore, yes, they can survive on those only. but given a chance, alot of fishes are omnivorous. I've had tangs that nip on pellets that others eat, maybe it's tasty, so does that count ? Digiman
Green Chromis are not herbivorous. They cant survive jux on seaweed alone. Even blennies (ecsenius) requires some protein food like mysis to thrive. Tangs and rabbitfishes are the only real herbivores but they grow big. To answer your qn of any herbivore reef fishes that are small in size and typically swim in groups like those anthias? Answer is no.
SRC Member james72 Posted May 30, 2012 Author SRC Member Share Posted May 30, 2012 Bought 8 chromis, very nice friendly and greedy schooling fishes. Started feeding the min I release them in tank. Help in motivating my yellow tang to feed on the flakes when I feed the chromis. But Rabbit & Fox Face seems to grow super fast. Within half a year... my Rabbit grows to be a Hulk in my 4 Feet tank.. Had to give away. Seems like he is on Steriods to grow..
