what is the diff between miricle mud and normal sand? Many reefer told me there is not much diff.

I've been reading. Seems like some pple swear by it. And some pple just wouldn't touch it. It's just like buying bottles mineral water some say its better. Some say it's just glorified tap water.

Just my 2 cents here, i used a DSB of 7 inches made of fine LS. It worked like a charm on nitrates. I didnt even have macro algae at the time. The visual confirmation that your DSB is working is you will start to notice formation of nitrogen bubbles in your DSB. Thats when you know its denitrifying. For phosphates i feel GFO and macroalgae is best.

pitto,

if you are gunning for sps, bio pallets/rowa phos are highly effective. If you prefer refug, then go for dsb. I have a good read on this, if you want can lend it to you.

cheers

Can you guide me to read the article?
