any nano-pico tank owner using this light?

currently I'm using a 1ft T5 aqua-zoo actinic blue for my 1ft+ nano/pico

unfortunately unable to find this 1ft tube though manage to savage 1 at C328 with some unknown china brand

Is this Stunner12inch better than a 1ft 8W t5?

need some advise.

:ThanxSmiley:

Ecoxotic is available at Madpetz our sponsor.

The RGB rendition is good and you will like it.

Did you try to find the actinic blue 1ft at the nanyang seaview? They sell quite a number of smaller size T5. Maybe you can call them to enquire.

thanks for the info.

is this the address? is it near to main road or have to walk deep in?

I would rather DIY my own strips... I find the Ecoxotic to be overpriced.

can advise where to get the strip? or led?

unable to find info on the Ecoxotic led specs... like each led is 1W, 3W or similar to cabinet led, those available in electronic shop / simlim tower/square

saw it at madpetz .. should have requested to place it over a small tank to check out

just put my hand under ... afraid it may give a "artificial" blue/cyan effect

I'm using it too, I love the colour, but I had an issue with algae growth initially when I started using the pro.

Forgot to add, I am using the Panarama Pro version, also magenta with blue, the colour really pops! You can take a look at my tank pics.

I think if DIY in similar specs may to even more pricey.

I never had any issue with algae using ecoxotic stunner.

But I would not recommend it to be the primary light if keeping SPS.

Yup, I was surprised too. I suspect it could be the red spectrum which was what the algae needed coupled with nutrients in the water. After about one month, the algae slowly faded away, perhaps the nutrients were finally "exhausted"? Many possible reasons, just my personal observation for my tank. ^_^

Hmm.. anyone can explain wads the diff between Pro version ?

Hi ReefzLover, to my understanding, the key difference is the wattage. The stunner is around 6 watts for 12 inc if I am not mistaken? Pro Version is bulkier and it is 39 watts for 12 inch. ^_^
