vcysteo
Did you try to find the actinic blue 1ft at the nanyang seaview? They sell quite a number of smaller size T5. Maybe you can call them to enquire.
Gouldian
Ecoxotic is available at Madpetz our sponsor. The RGB rendition is good and you will like it. SRC Member Firestarter Posted November 21, 2012 SRC Member Share Posted November 21, 2012 I would rather DIY my own strips... I find the Ecoxotic to be overpriced. SRC Member Cedric Posted November 21, 2012 SRC Member Share Posted November 21, 2012 I'm using it too, I love the colour, but I had an issue with algae growth initially when I started using the pro. Quote Comments are welcome!

Forgot to add, I am using the Panarama Pro version, also magenta with blue, the colour really pops! You can take a look at my tank pics. Quote Comments are welcome! I never had any issue with algae using ecoxotic stunner. But I would not recommend it to be the primary light if keeping SPS. SRC Member Cedric Posted November 22, 2012 SRC Member Share Posted November 22, 2012 I never had any issue with algae using ecoxotic stunner. But I would not recommend it to be the primary light if keeping SPS. Yup, I was surprised too. I suspect it could be the red spectrum which was what the algae needed coupled with nutrients in the water. After about one month, the algae slowly faded away, perhaps the nutrients were finally "exhausted"? Many possible reasons, just my personal observation for my tank. Quote Comments are welcome! SRC Member Cedric Posted November 22, 2012 SRC Member Share Posted November 22, 2012 Hmm.. anyone can explain wads the diff between Pro version ? Hi ReefzLover, to my understanding, the key difference is the wattage. The stunner is around 6 watts for 12 inc if I am not mistaken? Pro Version is bulkier and it is 39 watts for 12 inch. SRC Member Cedric Posted February 18, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted February 18, 2013 Hi, I got mine from Reefsystems. Stunner is not to be used as main lights, more for colouration. Pro modules is ok for 1 ft, but you will need more than 1. Quote Comments are welcome!
