hey guys...

went crabbing recently and caught a sea pen...

brought it back and threw it into my sump...

1. is it poisonous? dangerous?

2. if it burrows into my dsb will it release some toxic gases and thus cause my tank to crash? :yeah:

Thanks guys!

Sea pens are non-photosynthetic and require a lot of feeding of zooplankton like rotifers. They need a fine sandbed to avoid damage to their bodies.

Not recommended to keep unless you are prepared to feed it often.

How do you know if a sea pen is dead ? Just a joke, when the person was selling me the sea pen, he was trying hard to describe it to me until he found something similar to our body which was quite an amazing vivid description.
