im using beamswork clip-on LED. i think its ultra bright beamswork led. so far ok.

Upgraded from Beams work 6x 3w to razor nano last week. Definitely razor nano hands down

don't get the beamswork if you got extra cash to spend.. IMO too white though its able to grow corals. maybe can get those Par38s if razor is too expensive

I 2nd PAR38 type.... I used that for my IQ5 in the past and it really brings out the colours of my 'simple' corals.... saw growth on them too. Have fun!

Use par38 for more choices of coral only use beamwk light if you only want to keep zoas & fish. Cost of par38 range from 2 blue notes to 3blue+3red notes without holder.

Thanks bro for your reply. I intend to keep simple corals only. Although reefing for more than 10 yrs and at one time have a 5 footer tank, I find keeping corals very challenging... Even mushrooms lol !

That's precisely why you need a decent light set. Assuming your water perimeters are in check, lighting and water movement are the next essential equipment to keep a reef alive.
