I use completely cured live rocks (from reefers) and new live sand. Transfered fish and corals over from small tank to big tank from day 1.

Honestly never even cycle at all. I start adding spa just one week after set up.

Of course this is not recommended for new starters. Most newbies buy rock from farm. Which are not cured. And I take extra precautions to make sure everything is okay.
