Your pic is not clear but it may be a berghia. These things are known to be aptisia eaters and is actually good for your tank, that is if it is one.

Read in an article that these creatures are cultured for the purpose of introducing them into an aptisia infested tank to eliminate these pests.

Someone who as an aiptasia outbreak but doesn't keep softies might be interested to give this guy a try at eating the pest anemone.

When removing, check for egg masses on the corals. If the eggs remain they will come back with a vengence.

THAT'S IT!!! i have them when i introed my star polpys too..and then these two days my buttons all closed up and i have an infestation of them!!! yucks. i took out at least 40 of them last night and today..still got i believe. SOMEONE HELP. :cry2::cry2::cry2:

As far as I know, these are specialised feeders and prey on aptisia only. As long as there is no more aptisia, they will die off.

I have seen one only so far....so remove or not :erm:

it is only about 0.05cm, actually very small. the body looks white to me with some greenish feeler all over it body

sama sama lo... it started with one....den i ignored it...1-2 weeks later suddenly a lot and buttons no open anymore....

but i have no aptisia lei...and it seems like my buttons are most badly affected.. dunoe if i should throw them away or hope and pray for the best.. :shock:
