SRC Member ericmz Posted March 21, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted March 21, 2015 Hi fellow reefers, Does anyone encounter emerald crab that eat Lps & sps?
Pacman
Hi bro, I remember reading an article online saying most or all crabs will eat things they shouldn't eat if their diets are not sufficient. Not sure if that's the case for you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jythong
My emerald crabs did not eat any corals or other livestock and did a great job of removing algae at difficult-to-reach areas. However they are strong and tend to push over small corals.
SRC Member ericmz Posted March 21, 2015 Author SRC Member Share Posted March 21, 2015 Me and another reefer did see our emerald crab feasting on our sps and another reefer had his zoas consumed. This is my first encounter on such incident. I have bought it because I need it to clear my bubble algae, but I guess it's diet is totally something else. Meantime, I have isolated the crabs already.
