Hi reefers

Recently has this power trip and the back flow from dt flooded my sump. Anyone know where I can get those 1 way union to install to my return pump so as to avoid same incident in future. Thanks.

I think you mean check valve which prevent water flow back. I only know fip have this.

Do you cater any sphion break off from your return piping to prevent water back flow ?

Thanks for reply. I read from some reefer thread mentioned 1 way union. Haha
I did cater a siphon break previously at the return pipe in dt but change to a smaller sump after the last sump breaks.

Thanks he for the reminder. Manage to drill a hole nearer to the water surface n now the back flow issue is resolved while I can have ample time to source for a larger sump.

Btw georgfischer has the one way check valve. I am using 2 from them. Best to connect with a ball valve to shut off water when you need to service the check valve. If you need a photo of that , pm me.
