The contrast now is of course caused by all th new rocks, sand and the use of a light meant for planted tank. Any plans to change the lights? Also how do you plan to keep the rocks and sand so white or are you intending to let it attain a more aged look.

Yup, these are all not marine equipments. The reason I stick with this light due its most pleasing to my eyes. Will add another piece of actinic light to enhance the blue.

No plan for keeping the rocks & sand white, will let them age or covered in algae.

It's pretty but in a short time you'll have algae problem.

And you should install a wavemaker

Thanks, I understand that. My reef tank with similar rocks covered in algae less than 2 mths.

Yeah, will install wavemaker and protein skimmer soon.

Bro, i find the MAME design skimmer very match ur tank..very clear glass look..nice yea..

For ur tank, i find it hard to add wavemaker n/or finetune to not splash out water/sandstorm..hope u can find n set up a nice wave yea :)

Yeah, i did take a look at their glass skimmer & overflow when i first started saltwater tank. But it is too pricey for me haha. Besides, glass looks nice until covered by algae. Maybe i'll get another Tunze 9001.

Will be aiming up towards surface to minimize sandstorm. But yeah, have to lower the water level.

Hopefully the smallest gyre can do the job.

Create some waves at least it's healthier for the fishes and giving it more oxygen

Thanks, at the moment flow from the return is pretty strong. Maybe get Tunze nanostream 6040
