where to place sun coral?

place it in a darker place.they wun extend their polyps if the place is bright.they are NOT photosynthetic so they do not need lights.however,they do need a certain amt of hand feeding to every polyp(because they do not have a central stomach).therefore its best to place them in a shaded area near the top of ur tank so it will be easy to hand feed em.. ;)

just place it in a high flow rate area.. to me lights dosent matter.. i have 1 that expose to full lite n high flow and it open most of the time... the other in low lite n low folw area open up only on feeding time...

You can put them anywhere you like, but sun coral seem to like high water flow area. It should also be a place where it is easy for you to feed them. Lighting does not matter at all, they don't mind either way :rolleyes: . Food can be brine shrimp, DT, cyclopeeze etc, even slivers of market shrimp/fish.
