Are u intend to turn the right hand side of your tank into a planted tank? :huh:

The marco aglae on the rock are fast growing and you face problem havesting them in future! ;)

what are you going to using for circulation?

just asking cos you might have some dead spots,

especially at the corners where your LR is stacked a little tight 

the left side have quite a lot of space between rocks, and the return pipe is blowing at it. i'll probably aim some powerhead at the right side, cuz there not much current there.

marine planted tank? :blink: never seen b4.

anyway, thanks for the advice. will try to remove as much algae as possible, maybe put it in the refugium.

by the way, i am planning to use a 24W PL tube to light my refugium. mix of blue and white. is this enough?

Ever thought of adding a fan blowing on the water surface? It can ease the load of your chiller by a little and also facilitate gaseous exchange by water surface agitation.. The evaporation is also good if you are topping up with kalk. ;)

Always something more important than fish.

the clams were from my old tank. got them quite some time ago.

dun really have time to go shopping for LS cause got mid-years now... bought a couple of corals today though, will post pics soon.
