Fin Rot

Hi,

Just discovered that my 6 line wrasse may be having a case of fin rot, think it could have been due to stress cos i just got it a few days ago... is there any effective way that i can treat it? Like dosing medication or anything? Thanks!

dosing medication ??? very dangerous leh ... unless u take it out and put it in ur qtank ...

Trust me, i would take it out if i could catch a 6 line wrasse. But i cant get it out at all...

Anyway, dosing Myxazin from Waterlife at half the recommended dosage, recommended by henry... some reefers might have used it in their reef tanks for ich, and it's stated to be able to fight off fin rot in tanks containing inverts and corals. Been a day and nothing seems to be happening to my corals.. fingers crossed...

Hmmm...comes from herbs? its able to treat fin rot ah? how bout for inverts, is it safe for them?

slightly reduce if u got corals. n off your skimmer cause alot of

foam, use a air bubble for circulation.

I use it when my PT got pop-eye n fin tear from fights with YT.

Recover after 3days. Now fighting with YT again.

Whenever my fishes got sick I dose abit of it.

Too much will stress your invertebates n corals.

Thanks dude, will check it out, think P*tM*rt carries the brand, saw it there somewhere before... but when i was there, the guy recommended myxazin... so far seems to be working, but may get melafix too, for the future... haha... kiasu syndrome...

Metafix, big bottle in Bedok North LFS selling at S$12.....used it to treat my goldfish before, very effective in growing the fins back....but then later died because of problem with the water.....

but have never tried on marine fish....

but anyway they work great on my LH, koi and marine fishes.... just like using ketapang leaf for betta against diseases ....
