phoneix is ok.

astralaux is bad. i place both side by side and the difference is obvious.

BTW, does skimmers help reduce turbidity in any way?

turbidity can be caused by micro bubbles too.

6 inch diameter but I'm not sure of the height

Think it's about 30+ inches
