Yellow anemone just died after 2 days in tank.

Is Yellow the natural color of anemone since I heard most Yellow anemones are dyed one Their survival rate in captive environment is smaller.

when the yellow anemone died it leaked out yellow color liquid. does that mean it is dyed?

what a pity, i paid quite a bit for it.

We shouldn't buy any dyed coral. No demand No supply and save the reef!

Need to check that the base of the anemone is not damaged when you buy them. That's their "achilles heel" I heard. I have seen one LFS using a paint scrapper (metal) to scrap the poor guy of the glass wall! Wow lau -- sure damage the base lah. I would only buy those that are left on the sand bed and its also easier to check their base condition as well.

There r many reasons bro but u have to give more info of ur tank such as lighting, water parameter ect ect. May be the anemone itself has damaged. Basically anemone is suitable for mature tank ... how old is ur tank?

1. I only buy anemone that is feeding (ask the LFS pple to show how feeding).

2. If you decide to buy from those distributor of anemone, than I will always look at the month of the anemone, base and one thing that most LFS wouldn't let you do is to place you open palm lightly on the anemone. If you get stung or grab feeling from the anemone, you can go ahead and buy it.

This is how I buy anemone and I have 2 anemone (1 roseie and 1 purple tibs) in my tank that is doing fine now.
