keep yr snapping shrimps with a copuple of gobies.... very interesting.

I once kep a huge snapping shrimp with cleaning shrimps, boxing shrimps n they got along well.

Main Tank : 48 inch by 36 inch by 28 inch (2 sides starphire glass)

Those big bristle stars will capture and eat fish. I'm not so sure if the shrimps are actually peppermints. might be camel.

Snapping shrimps are known to attack other shrimps and consume them while they are dazed. Beware...

i have no idea whats a snapping shrimp.. but that is a pistol shrimp. maybe they are the same thing. They are beneficial shrimps and will not harm other shrimps unless they are significantly smaller than itself.

Yep.. I meant pistol shrimps. Bigger pistol shrimps can make a meal out of your cleaner shrimps if they want too. Watched the whole process on discovery channel before. The cleaner shrimp approached the pistol shrimp and SNAP! The cleaner shrimp got dazed and dragged into the pistol shrimp's burrow....

Always something more important than fish.

where did you get the peppermint shrimp? I am looking for them for sometime. And from the pic u provide, its definately a peppermint.

my fren caught at sea,he actually caught 1000 of them but he throw them back to the sea coz he dun know that is peppermint shrimp,he actually throw few thousand dollars inside the sea,sigh! :blink::(

Peppermint shrimps are only found in the Atlantic.

Post a real picture of the actual shrimp and maybe we can ID it.
