Maybe you should temporary disconnect your CR or tune down the bubble count and buff up your Mg 1st. You are getting some major ionic imbalance. How old is your tank btw? I think it is because of the regulator... sometimes it will just stop and sometimes gives out more than necessary bubbles... I've made water changes and I am aware of it... Thanks bro... I've also added magnesium and has reduce the bubble count to 10 sec 1 bubble... I don't think I want to off the CR... to drastic... Joe P is also helping me fine tune... but I think it has improved alot... used to be 700 plus using salfrt 1/2 test... it has actually gone down to the current 540... You will disturb your alkalinity which in turn will affect your Ca level. What was the original reason behind your high Ca level? Faulty test kits? I doubt my test kits are faulty.. new ones from Salifert... got it from EAP so I think they are accurate... I'm also adding Reef Builder in minute amounts via RO water top up at 1 drop / sec... So far I checked today: Calcium is now 500 Magnesium is now 1200 Alkalinity & Cabonate hardness remains the same. pH is 8.1 Salinity is 34ppt or 1.025 pretty consistant for the past 7days... except for calcium which has been reducing.
