How does the EH 110 or 111 looks like???

The left timer which show the clock face is the EH111. Both look the same in term of appearance, except EH111 has a self timing device inside the timer which will not affect the clock when power is cut off.

think i gotten my timer less than 40 ....
I did not ask them the price for this model, but most place in SLT & Choo Chiang is quoting $10 more with auto timing type.

What model is yours then??

I'm interested in the setup....

And what would be required if I have

1) 3 x 250 W MHs... (prefer to run them individually)

2) 1 x 150 W MHs....

3) Upcoming actinics and bluebulbs 4 x (T5s) 54Ws

4) 2 Fans ( running on own set of timers )

I'm using EH111 for MH and EH011 for the rest.

If all lights running on a different timing including your 150w MH, then you need :

1) 12way box

2) 6 timers

3) 6 MCBs

Thanks Dersuz,

Another question,

How many EH 111 would be required for the above 3 MHs.... will 1 do jus like yours??

One timer runs on one set of timing for both single & three module type. 3 module is much durable but take up space.

I'm running the following :

1 timer EH111 for 2 x 400w MH

1 timer EH011 for actinic lights

1 timer EH011 for fan and culture station

Just bought the Hager modular timer set at Kelantan Road. Not sure whether I was conned or not, but I find it cheaper than SLT.

1. Hager EH111 - $41

2. Hager EH011 - $40

3. Hager MT110A - $4

4. ABC 10 way box - $7.20

Dersuz, mv3i : Do we need a bar? I'm not sure what the lady was talking about?

SLT quote me $55 for EH111 and another shop quote me $60.

I was searching high/lo during lunch time. Not to mention, sweating under the hot sun. I almost give up until I saw the Hager poster. This shop at Kelantan Road sell all Hager products. And the quote for EH111 at $41 makes me smile.

Here is the address of the shop for those looking.

Hiap Hoe Electric Co Pte Ltd

Block 28, Kelantan Road #01-125, Singapore 200028.

Tel: 62987233 Fax: 62937233

Now I need to figure out how to wire them. :(

Any help anyone?

Dersuz,

This is how it looks like before I connect to the MH & Power. I hope I follow your schematics correctly.

Contactor ES220 cost $22 at the same shop.

Will let you know if it turns out OK.

nice work dude !!! Juz one more pointer ..... where is the supply coming fm ??? IF it's coming direct fm the mains/MCB .... then it's ok ... but if you were to tap it fm a 3 pin plug source ... u might overload the wiring leading to the plug .... I have a direct cable fm the Mains ....

juz my 2 cents worth ....

Your incoming LIVE should connect to the timer or MCB and use jumper to connect the rest of the LIVE cables. The top right and left, one is for common neutral and the other is for earth.

Saw you using the earth/neutral for your LIVE (red cables). This is very dangerous  , never LIVE up earth bar unprotected. If you need to, use a connector where they are expose. You need earth for protection too.

Be careful.

Or I can help you wire up your system.

IMO, Is ok just for lightings cause they don't draw very high current, but not for powerhead and pump which draw very high starting current.

As long as they stay below total 3000w per plug(base on paper calculation), my advise is to stay below total 2000w per plug.

Sorry, connector where they are not expose.

It looks very dangerous to me, Yazid. If you accidentally touch the Live bar on the top right, it will kill you. WRONG MEHTOD OF CONNECTION.

:cry::cry::cry:

yah ... that's what i meant ... if have other electrical equipment ... u might have a problem ....

Eg:

If he's running 3 x 250 W MH n 1 HP chiller n pumps n .......... all connected to the Box ....... IMO, pretty close to the 2000W .... :)

You might consider using single phase insulated busbar that cost about $6.00 / lenght fo 1 mtr.(for live looping)

But according to Yazid pic,he has to shift all the mcb together.

The rest of the timer (together side by side), live connection has to be done by cable looping.

Hope this will help.

Busbar... that's the word the lady asking if I needed one.

I know about the LIVE bar there. I was asking myself where's the ground. I already rewired it last night. Thanks for confirming that.

I have a connection from the main.

I'm connecting the following:

1. EH111 -> Contactor -> MCB -> 2x250W MH

2. EH010 -> MCB -> 2x54W T5 BluePlus

3. EH010 -> MCB -> Dunno yet. Possibly Tunze Stream.

It won't be more than 2000W.

I let my brother-in-law (Certified electrician) verify this weekend before I plug it in.
