Setting up 2ft tank.

I am currently starting a 2ft tank.

I have already got a tank and frame.

Looking for the following.

1) canister filter

2) lamp

3) sand

4) rocks

5) a pair of clown fish.

Would prefer if could get from someone who

has everything.

Staying in the East.

er.. sorry new in this hobby.

Had fresh water b4.. but trying marine 1st time.

i though canister easiler to maintain thats why getting it.

for 2 ft then is it easiler with OHF?

cause i was thinking of putting UGF then plug the

canister filter intake into it.

u can use canister, but got to clean it (with salt water) quite often else it will become nitrate factory. then your livestocks & corals will not live long.

the most common filtration suitable for marine would be use of sump tank.

bro, im having a 2 feet tank now. although its stable right now. but mine crashes very easily with the given tank volume.

having a 2 feet is hard as its too small. if u want u better get those 2 feet with sump. better to start with.

do take my suggestion into consideration, no offence. just dun want some one to follow my steps.

1) 2ft sump wif dolphin 3000lph return pump

2) 2ft hood wif lighting

3) 4pkt of 5kg Grade 1 sand (total 20kg)

4) rocks for 2ft setup

5) a pair of clown fish.

6) filter media for the sump

7) protien skimmer wif Atman 2000lph pump

but his tank i believed is not drilled for overflow.

so he will still need it drilled or a overflow box as well.

while @ it might as well get a 3ft tank for larger tank volume so it doesn't crash easily..oh my..

hi, sorry for hijacking. I also have a two feet tank without a overflow system. but would like to add a sump for the above mentioned reasons.

anyone can lead me in the right direction to buy or diy a overflow box?

Hi Bro,

If u just start the tank, why u need a pair of Clown? U should only add fish after cycling which take another 6weeks!!!
