Reefer guy,

I love the way your SPS encrust. Mine don't encrust half as much.

Yours is amazing. Any secrets?

no secrets, they just grow that way.... guess its a consolation for less colouration and slow growth that u guys have been achieving w ur gems ;)

Interested to see how SPS grow in reefers tank. So everyone post your photos here.

I'll start off with my blue stag

:yeah: Wow, less than a year and it grew from a small rock to a full colony.... ......it's like an ugly duckling turning into a swan.......beautiful.. :peace:

Yes bro, it's 150W-20k lamp and the sps had to be keep at the top area of the tank, if i were to start another tank, it will definitely be 250W or more +T5.....then can do slope downwards like you and the rest of the bro here....it will really replicate the natural reef scene.....and more space to buy more sps.....

When I bought this stylo, it was the last piece and was in the tub for 2-3 months. It was totally brown and overwhelmed by algae. :(

I frag it into 3 pieces and the size and shape were like the 1st top pic. Many Many months later (2nd & 3rd pic), colour intensify and new growth, algae gone :D . The frag in 1st pic was lost in the LR and only rescued recently, and this explains the no-growth. :)

These frags were very slow growing ;)
