What's your dream fish?

It took my fish just 1 year to grow from 5 cm to 40 cm in a 4 ft tank. Then less than a year in the pond to grow to 80cm, longer than the biggest Koi. It swallowed a 20-30cm Koi, with the tail sticking out from its mouth. So it went into a large lake. If it's still alive now (2 years from the release), it could be 1.2-1.5 metres long!!

Anyway, it was a really beautiful fish. I could play with it with my hands inthe pond. It eats everything from shrimps to small fish to Koi!

I think (marine) therefore I am

Another fish i'd like to have is the longnose filefish:

Oxymonacanthus-longirostris.jpg

Saw before in a LFS but didn't dare to buy cos i've read that they are very difficult to keep.

Anyone has any success keeping these fishes?

very nice fish.....possible to keep....in an SPS tank

This is a very tough trigger to find....you need to specially order it in....cost ard $700 to 1K plus....

It is one of the gem ard.....if you are a trigger lover.

I am....and my wife is a big fan as well. There a reefers here who go crazy over fishes less than an inch size..Each his own.

I am just responding to the thread title:

"What's the favourite piece of lifestock you'd most like to have? Invertebrates included... " ......why not?

Let me see...If you get all 10 fish, you will need at least 8 tanks to keep them.

I still like the red box fish from GBR that someone posted many months back.

Hey Dispar,

Ya got a good tatse my friend.

My most wanted list:

1.Debelius Angel

2.Hotumatua (had two that died).

3.Resplendens

The Debelius is really hard to get, the other two I can get, just a matter of time.

I also want a Rhomboidalis to complete my wrasse collection in my reef tank.

Mi dream fish will be the Flying Gurnard... correct spelling?

Looks dam graceful when it spread it's wings....

A broken heart, A life torn apart.

Screams with no sound.

No solution to be found.

Forsaken by all, Blood spatterd on a wall.

Left all alone, Still as a stone.

Locked in eternal sleep, No more tears to weep...
