SRC Member alanseah Posted April 9, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted April 9, 2005 Hi, I manage to get the latest design from my local DIY (http://www.iaquatic.com/) And I proud and happy to say finally a new zeovit reactor design that you will never have a hard time shaking it or plumping it.... It's stuck free....
SRC Member alanseah Posted April 9, 2005 Author SRC Member Share Posted April 9, 2005 All the reactor that i have use before give me a hard time whenever I want to pump my zeolite. Cause I will always face the problem of plumping half way and I got stuck by the rock and I have such a hard time trying to unlose the rock and allow me to continue plumping. The always get stuck issue has make me lose interest in plumping the rock and time and time I almost want to give up due to the plumping and get stuck issue. With Ian new stuck free zeovit reactor, it totally solve everyone issue and not to mention the workmanship is great... Every part of the reactor can be unscrew and remove for maintenance. What so exciting, with this new reactor swing and plumping the zeolite is not longer a headache. The reactor can be fix either in-sump or out-sump. And it can hold up to Max 2litre of zeolite. But I personal feel that best to fill up max 1.5litre of zeolite as there will be more space allowance for the rock to fly about and thus able to shake them well. SRC Member Reefaholic Posted April 11, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted April 11, 2005 Will it leak if place on out sump application? i wonder the water might sip through the pumping bar. What about those small rocks slipping through those holes inside the chamber since without using cotton sponge like other reactor? Just some questions before placing orders. Just some questions before placing orders. well yes, they will be a little bit of leak from the pulling bar when u shaking the rock.. but it's a horriable leak that will have your floor every where cover with water.. just put a small cloth on the top cover when u shake and that's it simple and easy... small rocks slipping through those holes inside the chamber but that is not as issue and it wont cause the whole reactor to jam or have too much small rock slip throught... even you use those cotton, think about it.. what will these cotton become in the long time.. all the dirty trap in the cotton and become niratory factory... wont that be even worst..
