Hi bros

I got a stupid question to ask. How u all keep yr salt after opening to prevent it from precipitation? Pls advice.

Yeah, reduce any contact with water to the min. Or are you talking bout Salt Solution?

i store my opened pack in a ziplog back, than put it in the air tight container like lock tight (can get from ntuc)...so far so good

Keep it in a dry plastic container.

In tat case better dun use bro..i wasted 2 pail of water...the water was so coudly after i mix.

Hm.. i just keep it in the bag that they provide.. coz coralife salt comes in a zip lock already.. so I just zip it back and to be doubly sure I put it in a plastic bag and tie it up...

So far quite ok... only got once I didn't zip properly then it was one big mess..

Could this be due to the quality\brand of the salt?

Maybe we should put something to absorb moisutre in where we keep the salt?

hahaa...use hammer to knock it when it gets too hard...

just wondering if anyone tried putting a pack of those thing that will absorb moisture. for example, thirty hippo?

since u hav to change water every now n then... buy ur salt in bucket... cheaper + fresher....

then when u decide to buy seperate small packs... can use the bucket to store

One reason why I invest and bought this 200 gallon Oceanic Salt (from Marinelife).... Cost me >$100

This is the only bucket product that I know comes with a rubber O-ring for effective sealing against moisture.. plus, the salt mixture is really good!

Subsequently, I can reuse this bucket for other salt brand (in an event if I want to change brand)...
