you mean i have to wait a few days then i see some results? What if i off and on again then i got to wait a few days again? sianzz.....

just curious, how big is your beckett?

as for offing and oning again, i never got the details of kicking in right but from what i gather from a guy who described the process to me before, basically when the skimmer is new, there's oil on it and the oil hinders skimming.

kicking in process refers to the skimmer taking its time to rid the oil

after the oil is gone, there's no more kicking in to talk about

in other words, after waiting for the skimmer to foam now, you don't have to wait as long the next time you off it

new skimmers tend to have a layer of oil ..so this prevents the foam from rising, kind of like too slippery...hence it will take a few days for the oil to be totally remove...and after so will the foam be able to rise...

if you turn off and on....no...you do not need to wait a few more days again, cos that layer of oil is gone

my 2 cents
