The first night, it skimmed half a mineral water bottle! Too wet a skim-mate already. So now, I tuned it to have drier skim-mate.

half a mineral bottle...1.5L bottle? is hardly considered wet. for a 4 footer and a beckett, I would have expected more... what colour is it?

It's a 2litre bottle, I think.. I'm not sure.. And it skimmed half the bottle within 10 hours. The colour was light green. Not like the dark coffee which other reefers' becketts have churned out.

Light green is good! So its about 2 liter a day for you then... I think its fine, continue with wet skimming. Jus find some way to replace the lost skimmate...?

I tuned it back to wet skim-mate at the moment. Now, it's skimming about a litre a day.

Can share how your md40 performing in terms of heat and noise?

Earth: It is a good pump to run a beckett, however, it does give out quite abit of heat. It is 100w and may tend to give out some noise. Not as silent as I had hope. However, with the cabinet doors closed, it isn't so bad.

my fren HnS is DARK brown to black,....

anyway u wont need to tune it alot as the water level is constant..
