IMHO, ich cant be totally eradicated, only minimise.

one of the best ways are to quarantine your LS before putting them into your main tank, and maybe soak your food with garlic before feeding them.

PS: fish food, not your foor(j/k) :peace:

cleaner shrimps isnt really effective in removing or reducing icks bro...they seems to be crawling over your tangs as they are removing dead tissues on them and killing larger parasites which are on them...

just my 2 cents advice

your water quality not good, den your fishes becomes stressed. tat's why they get ich. cleaner shrimps are not a solution to control ich... instead , shrimps are susceptible to high nitrates. they may 'mati' instead of cleaning your sick fishes.

use UV to reduce free floating parasites... feed garlic soak food/vit c

come to think about it, that time bought 1 coral beauty and 1 six-lined together, next day coral beauty tio ich :( maybe like what bro Venezia said, it could be stressed.(whats funny was that the six-lined is not affected and busy nipping on LRs)

cant do anything to help it. no quarantine tank, no garlic, no medication.

In the end left it alone.

after a week its out swimming in the front of the tank ichless!! :yeah::yeah:

wierd huh?

just hope that the ich will just leave my LS alone.

yes..put in seperate tank first..let it settle down for abt half a day.

then start to introduce quarantine medicine from a light dosage..

partial water change every 3 days is essential..ensure fish is feeding b4 introducing into your tank..

my 2 cents worth.. :D

actually, if a fish is in a very small tank, won't it feel more stressed?

in certain extent..yes..it would be even stress when kept in a small tank...but for a quarantine tank..a 2feet tank would be enough.. :D
