Reef with no Chiller?

Anyone out there has succeed in keeping a coral without a chiller? Care to share? Like what type of coral, what kind of lightings etc. I like to know as I want to add coral to my 1.5 year old LR tank. But no space for chiller and additional setup.

It is possible to run a tank with chiller but the temp of the water should not exceed 31 degrees or the corals/ls will start to self-destruct in a short time span. hth

i have a tank, daytime on fan, night time on air-con, 4 T5 lighting. So far, i have managed to maintain the temp at 26 to 27 degree. All my LS and hard corals doing well.

i got 2 tank, 2f n 3f, no chiller. but evryday mus top up 2 bucket water, 1 day, 1 nite.

I too do not have a chiller. Corals as such, sometimes could be a touch and go thing and I have had my share of failure in keeping them alive. Generally, I find mushies, leathers and hammers easier to keep.

Just wondering if anyone out there is keeping Acropora successfully without a chiller?

yes there are, but they uses air-conditioning

My tank has no chiller and i'm even running a 150W Mh light...But of course I had to raise my lighting away from the water surface.

I'm keeping mushies, Buttons ,leather etc.. and so far not 1 casualty. (except my xenia which died after i added in a carbon pouch in my sump)
