SRC Member kueytoc Posted August 5, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted August 5, 2005 I have tried the Aragonite & Strontium before...with no visible results. However, I can't say for their phytoplanktom & zooplankton supplements which are okay. Anyway, all their products are made in thailand...so treat it with a pinch of SALT ! alfie
I've been using Aquaz for almost 1yrs now, I would say it is a good product. I've also tried aquapharm, seachem and tropic marine. aquaz is cheap and good. not too sure if it is better than seachem and tropic but good enough for me. sometimes, its not the product, it might be the user. SRC Member 35Cents Posted August 23, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted August 23, 2005 result of being a cheapskate Wow, you must be using expensive additives, care to share what they are?.....perhaps show your tank pics to convince people here that expensive products do wonders.... no dead LS before! SRC Member Dazza Posted August 23, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted August 23, 2005 Yes lets all be kind. i hv tried aquaz iodine n trace elements n my corals, softies & shrimps all reacted very well. Used to use seachem n aquapharm. Personally i dont see that much diff but aquaz cheaper pricewise thats all. Will be trying their biplex 'A' & 'B" when i finish my aquapharm ones. Will post review if anything different ... Bottomline is i m looking for best value for money & the most expensive need not necessarily be the best all the time. SRC Member 35Cents Posted August 23, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted August 23, 2005 Kinda funny... but from the previous posts it seems that acidjazz meant after using a***p***, his clams up lorry. I guess he mistook it that acidjazz was talking about a***z, thus being the stout supporter of all products from USA (or is it?) or germany, he jumped in for that nimcompoopious comment. Not to drift off topic (now got drifters police around).... in essence nearly all additives uses the same chemical to formulate a certain product. i.e pH buffer is usually sodium carbonate. It's just the different quantity being used in different products be it 1% or 10% diff. Afterall , it's a chemical reaction (or warfare) everytime additives are being dosed into the tank. The most important thing is to READ the instructions for dosage.... But then of course must bear in mind that there will be people that are brand conscious or need specific formulation of chemicals to treat their tank. Quote "Ah, Blackadder. SRC Member triggerfish Posted August 23, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted August 23, 2005 been using Seachem pH buffer and works like wonder. tried the Kent Marine Iodine and works too well for me- algae boom just after few days of usage and bear in mind, i always start off with 25% of what is recommended!!! so switched to Tropic Marine, been a yr liao and working fine! Kent Turbo Calcium - very effective but that was before i switched to Ca Reactor. but price wise it is on the high side. Kalkwasser - AquaZ coz back then got discount, bought in bulk, easily last me 1+ yr! Phytoplankton - switched from DT to Aquatim, no visible changes though .....
