Snails To Get Rid Of Algae

heard that turbo snails can get rid of diatom/algae. can introduce during cycling or must wait until cycling over? how many to put huh? my tank 3 1/2 ft by 2 by 2. thanks.

hey invertebrate can't tolerate high nitrate level thus not advisable to add during cycling

My experience with snails is that its not really effective cos we cant control exactly where we want the snails to clean, unless you shift them manually every other day (which of course not encourage :bow: ).

Why put the snails during cycling process? I tot shd be lights off during this period, so that little or no algae will grow? Bearing in mind that snails, like any other fish, shd not undergo the cycling process.

lights already off but the brown colour algae keep appearing on my LR. very ugly lah. but will wait until cycling is over as advised before adding snails. heard removal of phosphate and nitrate will help. what method can i use? additives??? filtration???

Are there any other light source tat may strike your tank, eg sunlight?

It's normal to have Diatom bloom during cycling. It will go of by itself. ;)
