Purple yuma

Just bought a purple yuma yesterday. The lfs sold to at a damn god offer price as it was a bit bleached but still can see the colour. Anybody experience in keeping it can tell me the requirements for it.

I place my yuma at a low flow area, some where near my sandbed. I dont care for it much other than the occasion dosing of plytoplankton.

i also got a purple yuma at a good price from a lfs.

well...just give your yuma TLC and it will grow up to a good color..just like my pink yuma..which was bleached..now target feed it and lots of Tender Loving Care and its improving

I find ric florida were easier to keep and flourish, ric yuma were a lot more challenging.....certainly agree that a lot more TLC are needed.

should be ok.. I dont think yuma like strong light compared to rics. mine tried to move to a lower place where it is more shady.

I have heard yuma 'melted' away before. Maybe some bro can share their experiences?
