Non SPS dominated tanks

There is a concurrent thread in the sps forum featuring best of the international SPS reefs. It is all fine, but for cuckoos like me, just maintaining a sps reef is a challenge, much less keeping them fiji stuff on colour and have growth. It is in this light that I am proposing community members post up pix and details (best with links) of non sps dominated reefs (softies and lps). Just to dhow that hey you dont have to go sps to have a really nice reef.

Ok I admit it to make me feel better about my inadequacies :) Lets lighten up.

Another softie tank I really like very much.

I think all would agree them softies sure look nice in the tank :)

I thought I saw black or brown star polyp?? :P

Main Tank: 48" x 18" x 24" 12mm with external overflow piping

Sump Tank: 28" x 14.5" x 12" (3 compartments)

Lightings: T5 HO - Hopar 3* 39w + ATI 2* 54w

Skimmer: Skimz Bullet Beckett

Chiller: Resun CL-650 (28 - 29 °C)

Wavemakers: 2* Seio M620 + 1* Hydor K2 (7100 litre / hr)

Fluidized Reactor: Skimz FR (currently empty)

Pumps: 1x Rio 32HF (Skimmer), 1x Rio 20HF (Return & Chiller)

Filtration: more than 80kg LRs, chaeto

Water Circulation: ~ 4000 litre / hr

Future Plans: additional wavemaker, DIY algae scrubber, DIY overflow box

Yes bro.. It's cheap n hardy. IME another agressive spreader other than the pulsing. B)
