Can anyone pls advise on how to keep the temperature of a 1.5ft tank low.

Any small size chiller available in the market?

I have a 1.5ft tank and a 2ft tank.

Everybody tells me its a waste of $$$

to invest in a chiller for the tank.

Anyway, resun cl280 about how much ?

the minimum will be a CL 280 which is 1/10 HP...more den enuff for a 1.5ft tank..

price ranging from 320-380...price varies on different LFS..

or u can look arnd at the pasar malam sell of section..reefers may sell their chiller...some are selling below 200 for a CL 650(which can be use for further upgrade )

ps: CL 650 is 1/4 HP...can be use to fire up a 4ft tank in case of further upgrading of ur tank...

How about getting a PC fan... can maintain constant 28deg.

It depends on wat temperature you looking at.

For small thank CL 280 is more than enough, but not sure if you're running a 250W MH on it...

Or a teco micro?? Gona be $$ though.

Else for FL/ PL lightings, a few DIY PC fans and an automated topup for water evaporation should be more than sufficient.

Cheapest option and realistic since I doubt u will be aiming for anything below 26 degrees... are you

Else U can always get an ice probe or 2 to fit in yr tank

its this lil device that sticks its titanium head into the sump via a drilled hole, and chills the water. the same stuff you find inside water cooler fountains.

Dun think 1.5 ft tank require any chiller....really waste of $$$$

If u wan, can buy 1 set which comprises of 4 pc fan to cool down the temp.

Chiller is for use with MH
