Have you tried opening the Seio and cleaning the magnetic propellor inside? I had a Seio 820 lying around which I had not used before and it couldn't work when I finally wanted to use it. But a reefer advised me to open the Seio and simply give the magnetic propellors inside a gentle wipe. After that, it worked! ;)

Seio is normally pretty good - i am using two. As others have said, make sure that the impeller is not jammed with anything and that you do have electricity to your outlet. Petmart should replace it under warranty if it is only a few days old.

If you have a multimeter measure the resistance between the two pins on the power plug. If the resistance is high then it looks like the motor winding is open-circuit (in other words it is kaput).

Real reefs don't have glass bottoms....(...think about it)
