This is the scan of Tunze part no. 3000.26, which I use with the streams. It's can be ordered together with the pumps and will be useful if the included attachments are insufficient or not suitable.

Similar to the above, this is the scan of Tunze no. 3000.244, also an attachment set.

"The Stream 6080 was so powerful, it was moving whole coral colonies 2 to 3 feet away" - WOW!

It's an overkill if you ask me... but Tanzy's got a Porsche 911 while I got a Humvee... heh!

Cheaper and does the job well... but lacks the 'style', heh!

Sorry to hear that it can't be used on a wavemaker.. I feel that is an important part... to be on timers to simulate tidal movements.... oh well...

AT,

I've got the Porsche 911 Turbo! ;) The ones I have are 6100. B)

I think they are releasing smaller versions(Boxters?) soon.

It might be overkill for a FOWLR, but I'm trying to do a SPS reef crest environment. It really depends on what system you are trying to acheive. I don't intend to keep much LPS.

Hmmm... even an SPS tank may suffer from so much high volume of movement.... if your sandbed gets kicked up too much... you'll get the sandpaper effect on your corals... flesh all peeling from sandblasting damage. Be warned... i read in a thread somewhere about the tissue being blasted off a acro frag placed in front of a reeftec.

Ya. Might happen. Will try to position the pumps properly and if 4 is too much I'll just use 2 instead.

It's a 75gal actually. 2 Streams are up at the moment because I'm still working on the tank's electrical system. Will put all 4 in after tomorrow or so.

I love them! The current is very strong so keeping LPS is difficult except in sheltered corners. The SPS have excellent polyp expansion but must be securely glued down or the whole colony goes tumbling.

The two are set at tidal mode now so only one is switched on at any one time and they alternate every six hours. At the moment, I can say I've replaced 4 powerheads with one stream.

The fish are reacting well to the streams and aren't affected by the strong water movement at all. I leave the powerhead on during feeding as it helps blow the food around keeping it suspended. The fish are more active and chase after the food more.

The sand is constantly stirred up but only the top half inch is moving. It's not blown all over the place and never gets suspended. It prevents detritus buildup and solved much of my dinoflagellate problem, but detritus is building up behind the rocks where the current is weak.

I'll write more when they are properly installed.

I have tried Champion Lighting and Marine depot. Shipping charges by Marine Depot is cheaper than Premium aquatics. Champion Lighting shipping charges is probably more expensive because it's on the East Coast while Marine Depot is in California.

www.marinedepot.com

I have also ordered Korallin calc reactor from Hong KOng at a cheaper price compared to either US or Europe. Shipping is also cheaper as they use postal parcel service to ship but GST will be applied to your purchase once it reaches Singapore.

Finally got all my Streams into the tank yesterday. This is a picture of two on the right-side of the tank.

And the other two on the left side of the tank.

The Tunze clamps aren't very secure and are hard to mount properly on an euro brace type tank. I did not follow the instructions and had to improvise with some glue and wire ties to secure the powerheads.

As you can see from the surface of the water, they reall do stir things up a bit!

The purple tang can swim against it but the clowns can't. The streams are pulsing between 60% and 30%, alternating at 0.5Hz.
