Algae Problem

1) Try increase circulation in the tank... if yr tank is a nano tank (smaller than 2 feet), try put in a couple of small PH to increase circulation flow... If yrs is a big tank like 3 feet or bigger...get a seio wavemaker..

2) Add in a few snails to help u...

3) Get a small sand shifting star... and IMO (2cents worth) a brittle star would help also... a brittle star will help u to housekeep yr sand bed and cleaned off any fish shit and uneaten food... Very good houskeeper :lol:

Sorry guys, hijack this thread so as not to create too much unnecessary thread as well...

There has been this greenish algae that sticks to my tank glass... can't get ride of them using magnetic glass cleaner... Anyway else to get ride of them? Will using a plastic ruler help?

i am just making a guess, i think he means gong gong as in snail... <_<

you know like the lala, gong gong and chut chut :lol::lol:

snail can clear up a bit of algae, you may need a sea hare those are like the cows of the ocean, eat and eat ;)

brown algae usually means too much silicate n not enough flow...

green algae usually means too much phosphate...

increase flow n use rowa
