SRC Member clkong Posted January 11, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted January 11, 2006 I had bought a normal zoo yesterday, only to notice that it doesn’t attached itself to a rock base like mushroom did. Does Zoos attach themselves to a rock? From members’ pic, i always thought it is attached to a rock. Now it is easily drifted away by current, I just can’t anchor it to the designated location that I want. Any suggestion? Thank you.
SRC Member KennethK Posted January 11, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted January 11, 2006 It does attach to rock. Ur current might be too strong. Can try moving the zoo or adjusting ur current.

augustine
it takes some time for zoos to stick themselves to any rock, about 3 weeks to a month, if left undisturb. another way is to squeeze them in between any crevice in your live rocks. SRC Member Flame-Tail Posted January 13, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted January 13, 2006 Here's what you can do. Get one of those take away bowls. Make holes all over (can melt holes by using a heated screwdriver or soldering iron) Then get a small piece of L/R ,place the zoos on it and cover with the bowl. This will prevent it from being blown all over the tank.It should attach itself in a couple of days. An easier way is find a spot in the tank where the current is minimal and place the rock and the zoos there and give it time to attach itself before moving it to another location. Hope it helps. Good Luck.
SRC Member davidluvfishes Posted January 13, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted January 13, 2006 I use super glue to attach them on small rocks. Too far no problem. But have to wash hands thoroughly after touching zoos.
